The Riddler's Pajamas in use by SubRosa-undertherose The Riddler's Pajamas in use by SubRosa-undertherose
The first test flight of the Riddler Pajamas!

These Footy pajamas were inspired by Tim Burton's Batman forever and were made by me for my best friend's (pictured) 19th birthday.

They were the kind of thing that we had joked about doing for a long time, and i had just the right stuff and circumstances to make for her. They're disgustingly comfortable. I made them out of Super-soft "Coral" Blanket Fleece, and added the question marks, after trying everything professional and expensive, with little success; with the use of a Laundry marker. It worked great, feels the same as the uncolored fabric, doesn't wash off or smear around onto other things.

She and I are both avid fans (and hecklers) of the Batman Forever. I think we both got a big kick out of the riddler Pajamas

haha thanks. They're also really freakin' soft, so I had a tough time not sewing my face to them due to all the snuggling while making them.

How'd you do the question marks?

god! I tried so many different expensive professional dyes and stuff to get those. All of them washed out, or smeared off or gummed up the fabric. Finally what finally worked were Laundry markers; essentially Sharpies.
They didn't washout, smear off, leave residue and after a good washing they felt just like the rest of the fabric.
To do the design I made four different sized stencils out of thick/hard cardboard from a sketch I made of the right question mark shape.

nope. They totally didn't.
You just gotta get the type that are meant to be "Laundry markers" because they were made to be unwashable.

Frankily, I was surprised too. I was expecting, after hours of work, and despite my test sample coming through fine, that I would open the machine to find bear pajamas. If that happened, she was getting them as they were :D
